Stephen Moramarco is a multi-talented artist -- an actor, writer, director and musician. Stephen received a B.A. from UCLA in the School of Theater, Film and Television in 1990, where he studied and performed alongside actors such as Jack Black and Michael Stuhlbarg.
After UCLA, Stephen focused his creative efforts on music, writing original songs and playing in several different music groups, including Hill of Beans (a folk group,) Bean (a pop group) and The Abe Lincoln Story, (a "Swing Punk Soul" group.) Recently, the Hill of Beans song "Satan, Lend Me a Dollar" was featured on the critically acclaimed series, "Weeds" on Showtime.
In 1999, Stephen moved to New York City to return his focus to acting and writing. He acted in several independent films and Off-Off Broadway productions, as well as studying improvisation with the Upright Citizens Brigade, studying alongside UCB Alums Jonathan Chase, Eric Appel and Andy Milonakis. Stephen also completed four full-length feature film scripts.
In 2004, re-energized, Stephen moved back to Los Angeles. He directed a short film that he co-wrote, starring Neil Hamburger. He recently provided a voice on Neil Hamburger's latest comedy album and is looking for financing for a full-length Neil Hamburger film. His band, The Abe Lincoln Story recorded their second record for an independent label. He was an Associate Producer on New Line's "The Pick of Destiny" starring Jack Black. He appeared on shows such as "ER", "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Poolside Chats with Neil Hamburger" and starred in "Shortstack," an AFI film directed by Brett Comden.
